Darkness.
Sheer, cold, darkness.
No sound was heard. No voice echoed. Everything felt cold as ice. Not a single wind brushed one’s skin. Not a single peep caressed one’s ear.
Darkness was all that could be seen. And while light might be the source of all that is good, darkness is eternal, for darkness is a cold truth that all must face upon death.
‘…Wh…ite…’
But for some good fortune of the people, darkness holds a longer expiration date, allowing them to obtain the light they hungrily want before their time runs out.
1. Nameless
“Yea. And then some kid laughed really stupidly, thinking he can beat my team.” Green scoffed as he casually flailed his right hand. “Kid barely lasted 5 minutes before I wiped his whole team out.”
Red merely listened in silence, mouth posing a smirk at Green’s story. The boy leaned his back on Green’s back, both enjoying the warmth and each other’s company. He heard as Green laughed cockily, preferably mocking at his recent opponent. Eyes dropping to a shut, he gently knocked the back of his head on Green’s, turning that laughter into amused chuckles.
Sun brightened lively as it stood proudly above the blue skies. Pokémon chirped and squeaked in joy as they ran around the city and nearby forests. Humans laughed and talked peacefully with one another. The event of last night didn’t stop them from pursuing their everyday lives. Some were still cleaning up their stalls. A few children and baby Pokémon were seen playing around with the festival’s games that still lingered around.
A girl came out of the Icirrus gym. A full, wide smile painted her rosy, sunny face. “Well that was fun,” she commented to herself, right hand holding the city’s badge as proof of their victor. Chuckling once, White pinned the badge under her vest, smile growing wider to see the row of trinkets that resembled her one step closer to victory.
“White!”
Like their previous encounters, before she had any time to turn or think, White felt her neck being wrapped around by a pair of arms. “Ack- Air…!”
1. Conflicting
“Aw come on Leaf. Don’t cry.” Green shushed the petite girl as he brought her to his lap. Without a single trace of hesitance, he wrapped his arms around her, comforting his beloved Leaf. “I was just joking. I was just joking. Don’t cry, alright?” He kissed the top of her head, fighting a chuckle to hear a cute hiccup from his cute rival.

“Gosh you’re tall.” Mei tiptoed in front of Hyu, poorly trying her very best to beat his height. The boy merely stood in amusement, rolling his eyes at her failed attempt. Scoffing to see the joy on his face, Mei gave a little hop. “I’m gonna be taller, you’ll see!”
“I can’t wait to see that amazing achievement.” Hyu laughed louder as he saw the adorable pout on her lips.
White stood proudly before the Icirrus Gym. Her hands held her waist as she looked at the cave-like building. “This gym is uses ice Pokémon,” she smirked happily, head turned to look at her Samurott. “Think you can handle a little brain freeze, Isaac?”
‘You bet!’ Isaac roared triumphantly, forelegs stomping in anticipation. His eagerness was fuel to his trainer. Fisting into her right palm, White raised her arms and cheered, “Let’s get us that badge!”
With both screaming with such tenacity, they ran into the gym.

I can’t believe it. I just… How did this happen? I was always in front of you; reaching to places you haven’t been yet, getting information you haven’t even obtain. I trained my team to be the best. I even have a starter that has a frickin’ advantage against yours. I raised my Pokémon so perfectly and learned every single knowledge about Pokémon that I can get. I was there. I was so close to make my old gramps proud. I was so very close to make my dreams come true.
Then how…? How could I lose?
What did I do wrong…?

“Hey Green.”
“Yeah-” Green froze as Red stood very closely to him. Their bodies were only inches apart, Red’s hands touching the young leader’s waist. “R-Red what are you-“
“Shh,” Red shushed him, voice husky like snow. The boy inched his face closer, causing Green to stay in utter bafflement. “Green…” He murmured, breath slowly slapping the tip of his nose. His hands roamed to the waistline of Green’s pants. The brunette merely stood in silence, heartbeat pounding his ribcage at the sexual moment. He saw as Red moved closer. He smelt his scent wafting into his nostrils. Green too shut his eyes, lips slightly parting as reflex.
Suddenly, he felt a cold rush of wind on his – bare – legs.
Green looked down, only to see his pants being pulled down to the ground, revealing his bright yellow boxers.
The next thing he heard was hearty laugh.
It took less than a minute for Green to realize that he had been tricked. “RED YOU BASTARD!!”

Hey, thanks for being my buddy. I mean yeah we used to be best friends since we were kids and I did…kinda…ditch you when I was interested in Pokémon… But come on we both know deep inside I really miss our friendship! When I realized that you were interested in them as well, honestly I was really happy. Coz that means I get to battle against you and meet you during our journeys. Yeah, yeah, I know I was kinda of a dick to you back then. But come on, you know I’m…You know that’s just me being friendly towards you.
And honestly, I’m really thankful that you still care about our friendship as much as I do now…
N sat quietly at the rail of the Driftveil Drawbridge. He hugged his knees, eyes on the clear water. His reflection was shining elegantly before him. His emerald eyes shined dully at the sparkling image.
“You better be ready coz I will defeat you.”
”Yes, I hate their leader.”
Her words were like a blast of echoes, banging his eardrums minute by minute. He sighed bitterly, slamming his forehead on his knees. She hated him. She wanted N to lose. She wanted N defeated.
She will snatch away all he had believed in since he was born.
”That bastard!” White screamed scornfully. “That perverted, weird, fuckass bastard! How dare he came near me! How dare he goes around telling people he’s the king of some shit out of the blue!” The girl stomped madly as they walked towards the Driftveil Bridge. All four of her Pokémon were out of their balls, tailing the brunette from behind.
All of them were worried for White. Ever since that incident last night, White told – or rather spat in fury – about what happened. They were shocked. Never did they guess N would be involved in such a predicament.
’Should we calm White down? She’s attracting attention.’ Dexter, the Zebstrika said to his friends, eyes on his stomping trainer.
’I’m too scared to even go near her.’ Lillil, the Petilil muttered slowly. She stood on Herdier’s back, sighing to see White was still flailing her arms frantically. When White gets mad, it is wise to not approach her.
White ran around Castelia City. Her feet dashed as fast as she can. Her eyes scanned the whole place, looking for the bastard that did her friend harm.
”Damn,” she cursed. Dewott and Herdier ran beside her. Bitzle and Lillil searched on the opposite area. Almost an hour had passed since their search. Still, White isn’t bent on giving up. Her mind swirled around the incident that happened to best friend.
When the speech was over, everyone began to clear out. They soon saw the image of the knightly group disappear out of their sight. There stood in the crowd were two teenagers: One man and one woman. The man, dark hair and spectacled, crossed his arms. His head and mind boggled on the sage’s cunning words. Separate Pokémon?, he bewilderedly thought. That’s inhumane. Pokémon are needed alongside trainers to prove one’s strength. ”What do you think, White?” he asked. After a few minutes of no respond, Cheren turned his head to his left. “White?”

“Tch,” Green taunted in arrogance. “Bitch please, I’m fabulous.” The young man scoffed loftily as he flipped his glossy brown hair.

“Nobody cares about me…” Wally lamented in sorrow as he sat near the far corner of the room.
3. Jun aka The Hyperactive ASDFGHJKL
“OOOOO LET’S GO BATTLING OH MY ARCEUS IS THAT A BIDOOF PREPARE TO DIE BIDOOF AMG HURRY UP HIKARI YOU’RE SO SLOW THAT BIDOOF IS RUN- SWEET MOTHER OF ARCEUS IS THAT A FLYING LEAF.” Jun screamed and shouted madly as he chased the flying leaf caused by the breeze.
4. Cheren aka The Nerd
“I am smart and knowledgeable about Pokémon and even though White keeps beating me in battles, it doesn’t matter coz I am wearing jeggings.” Cheren said nonchalantly as he pushed his specs up the bridge of his nose.
5. Bianca aka The Clumsy Ditz
“Yiiiii hey Whi- Oh my Arceus is that a Minccino it’s so fluffy I MUST LOVE IT!” Bianca squealed in joy as she chased the frantic chinchilla Pokémon.
6. White aka The Tomboy
“Alright, who’s next?” White growled wildly as she happily cracked her knuckles. The last man who had an arm-wrestling match with her groaned and cried in pain for his broken arm.
7. Kotone aka The Crazy Happy-Go-Lucky
“The world is a happy place and I am a happy girl and I like to hug and love and yayy!” Kotone cheered as she hopped and skipped on the grassy field. Typhlosion could only stare at his trainer in bewilderment.
8. Silver aka The Emo
”I HATE EVERYONE!” Silver hissed in hatred.
9. N aka The Manchild
“Why is the world so cruel to Pokémon WHYYY?!” N wailed in despair as he looked up the bright blue skies. Zoroark stood by his side and ate his berries calmly, ignoring his friend’s usual lament.
10. Red aka Chuck Norris’ Son
Red casually sat on a dead pile of the world’s strongest men as he stared blankly into space. On his left hand, however, was holding a giant bazooka with the words ‘SWAG’ on it.
